Alcohol Rehab Program
Actively seeking help for your addiction is the first step to a healthy recovery and a return too normal life. The Rock Creek Alcohol Program is here to give you the tools to make a positive and uplifting change in your life. We believe every individual has the power to shape their life for the better by practicing positive thinking, strong decision making, and living in a supportive network. Our inpatients and guests are welcome to join in our specialized alcohol program and see what a difference they can make in their own life.
Our group programs combine the fundamental education about treatment methods with the supportive social networks of like-minded individuals. Together, education and social support will provide recovering patients with the confidence and life skills necessary to return to a satisfying and fulfilled life. Each week, patients will interact in group discussion sessions, educational workshops, and participate in individual counseling with our alcohol recovery therapists to help understand and overcome their addiction.
Our residential alcohol abuse recovery program is geared for 6 to 10 weeks of intense self discovery and empowerment. By enrolling in the 6-10 week program, you will learn to empower yourself, accept the past, and plan for a bright and positive future.
Alcohol Program Structure
1st and 2nd Week: Empower Yourself
Most people with addiction problems feel like their life is outside their control and they are watching it spin farther and farther away from them. The first part of the recovery program is learning that you can control your life. Your addiction is the result of a series counterproductive choices made because of situational circumstances, but its now possible to make new choices. You are capable of making new choices and turning your life in a new and brighter direction. You will understand that you have the extraordinary power to change!
3rd and 4th Week: Look at the Past
The end of this program is all about the future and the wonderful direction you're going to take your life. But in order to step toward that bright new future, we need to understand our own past and move beyond it. With a workbook, group talk, and instructor therapy, you will be able to make a complete timeline of your past life. This can be an intense time for many patients who have had a difficult past, but analyzing and accepting your previous life can reveal much about yourself. You will learn to forgive yourself and others in your past, and to see why your counterproductive decisions about alcohol use were made.
5th and 6th Week: Looking Toward the Future
This point in the program can be the most exhilarating for patients. You will be setting new goals for your future and learning how to stimulate positive habits, thoughts, and activities. With your group and instructors, you will create a new life plan which you can follow once you've completed your treatment program. This time is extremely productive and inspiring for all of our patients.
Extended Program: 7th- 10th Week.
If needed, Rock Creek inpatients can opt to participate in 1-4 extra weeks of rehabilitation services. During this time, our patients can work closely with counselors and other patients to help build a serious foundation for the future and work more on elements of past-acceptance or future goal setting. Patients who have struggled with previous topics in the healing program can take the time to focus on challenging areas during these extra 4 weeks.
For alcohol and drug rehab recovery programs, there is a strict zero substance tolerance on premise. No substance will be tolerated during a running program, and patients breaking this requirement will be asked to participate in individual care.
